Thai Green Papaya Salad Recipe
Fresh, zingy, and full of crunchy veg, this green papaya salad is a quick, easy way to whip up something that feels fancy — without the effort. Simply serve with sticky rice and dig in.
You will need
Serves 2-4
For the salad:
- 1 green papaya, chopped into thin strips
- 4 red Thai chillies, thinly diced
- 3 long beans, chopped into 3cm pieces
- 10 cherry tomatoes, quartered
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, chopped
For the dressing:
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 limes, juice only
- 2 tablespoons tamarind water (from concentrate)
- 2 tablespoons vegan fish sauce
To serve:
- Sticky rice

Step 1
In a bowl, mix all dressing ingredients until the sugar has dissolved.

Add the salad ingredients to the bowl, gently tossing through the dressing until completely covered.

Transfer to a serving bowl and serve with a side of sticky rice.
