Recipe Buffalo Cauliflower Pizza

If you haven't tried buffalo cauliflower 'wings' yet, this may be life-changing for you. Because buffalo cauliflower on pizza -- with a homemade ranch sauce -- is almost too good to be true.

You will need

  • 1 plant-based pizza crust
  • 1 head of cauliflower, chopped into small florets
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons buffalo sauce
  • 3 cups vegan mozzarella
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced

Vegan Ranch

  • 3/4 cup plain vegan yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons macadamia milk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon agave syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon cracked pepper

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 200°C or 180°C fan forced.

  2. Step 2

    Prepare pizza crust according to package directions. Make sure to bake the crust before adding toppings.

  3. Step 3

    Toss cauliflower florets in coconut oil, salt and cornstarch. Spread evenly on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes, until tender and golden brown.

  4. Step 4

    In a small saucepan, heat buffalo sauce and vegan butter over medium-low and whisk until well combined. Remove from heat and reserve about 1/4 cup in a separate bowl. Pour the rest over the baked cauliflower and toss to combine.

    Spread remaining 1/4 cup of buffalo sauce over pizza crust in a thin layer. Top with vegan cheese and buffalo cauliflower.

  6. Step 6

    Bake for about 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

  7. Step 7

    Meanwhile, whisk together all ingredients for vegan ranch.

  8. Step 8

    Remove pizza from oven and let cool slightly. Top with avocado slices, microgreens and a drizzle -- or pour -- of vegan ranch. Slice and enjoy!
