Recipe Furikake & Oat Butter Rice

Furikake is a dry Japanese condiment that can be sprinkled on all kinds of dishes. For this beautifully simple bowl, it adds great umami flavour; and the oat butter, as it melts through the rice, adds a creamy richness to each bite.

You will need

Serves 1

  • 1 cup short-grain Japanese rice

To serve:

  • Generous sprinkle of Furikake
  • 1 spoonful of oat butter
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (or tamari if gluten-free)
